Hello, my name is Dylan DeMarco. I am 14 and doing my Eagle Scout Project at KARS Park located in Merritt Island, Florida. My project is to refurbish the fire pit near the totem pole by making a new one in the center. This will be done by making a 10’x10’ square out of bricks. This includes:
- removing the rocks around where the old fire pit was.
- digging a hole around the perimeter where the new fire pit will be.
- laying bricks 5 layers high and using concrete adhesive to keep the structure stuck together.
This will help KARS Park manage their property by letting them trim the weeds much easier and allow campers to gather for fires.
