Hi my name is Samuel Weidenhofer, I’m fundraising for cancer survivor Dylan & his mother.

For almost 11 years, Dylan has faced more challenges than any child ever should.

He has courageously battled cancer not once, but twice. Through countless hospital stays, gruelling treatments, and a life saving bone marrow transplant, Dylan has shown extraordinary courage and resilience, inspiring everyone who has had the privilege of meeting him.

Although he beat cancer, the fight didn’t end there.

The lasting effects of his treatments and bone marrow transplant have left him living with chronic health conditions that require ongoing specialist care, regular hospital visits, surgeries, medications, and constant support.

Every week brings new appointments and new challenges, yet Dylan continues to face them with remarkable strength.

To give Dylan the care he needs, his mum made the heartbreaking decision to leave her career and become his full time caregiver. As a single mother, she had no other choice. While she would make that same decision again in a heartbeat, losing her income has placed an overwhelming financial strain on their family.

Between medical expenses, travelling to hospital appointments several times each week, everyday living costs, and the ongoing care Dylan requires, they are struggling just to keep their heads above water.

Asking for help has never come easily, but today they need the support of their community.

I started this fundraiser for Dylan and his mum, with Dylan’s mum as the sole beneficiary. Every dollar donated will go directly to her to help cover essential living expenses, medical related costs, travel to appointment check ups, debts and provide some much needed stability while she continues caring for her son.
