Greetings!

My name is Dwane Maxwell, a dedicated teacher, mentor and artist. I am seeking some assistance in helping my siblings back in Jamaica rebuild their home that was destroyed by the recent hurricane. This home has a very special space in my heart and to my family in Jamaica.

This house has been the home/refuge of 3 generations. Family members who lived there during the hurricane had a very close call but by the grace of God, their lives were spared.

The priority is to hit the ground running with having the structure repaired in order to safely re-home family members that have been displaced.

The damage has been extensive and will be more of a rebuild than just a simple restoration: the roof is completely gone, furniture and appliances are waterlogged or destroyed. Some sections of the walls have also been compromised from fallen debris.

We are seeking your help with donating funds towards the following projects:

* purchasing building supplies (zinc, cement, lumber, building blocks, etc)

* replacing the roof

* repairing and reinforcing the foundation and walls

*repairing/replacing damaged furniture, plumbing and electrical wiring

It will be a huge project to take on but we are up to the task, in an effort to have our family home to once again be a safe space and refuge for future generations.
