My name is Brenda Giles the mother of D’vontaye L. Mitchell and On June 30, 2024, our family suffered a devastating loss with the tragic murder of my son. He was a caring and loving soul, my son was a devoted father and cherished husband, son, brother, and friend. His life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence at a local Hyatt Regency hotel by security staff.

 

Dvontaye was a loving father to children who are now left to navigate the world without their father's guiding hand.
