Support Drew Schafer's Fight Against Glio and Sarcoma

Hello, this fundraiser is to help Andrew (Drew) and Diana Schafer with expenses. Drew was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in August of 2023. The cancer was in remission, then a reoccurrence was noticed and a surgery was scheduled September 2024 to remove it. During this operation, Drew suffered a stroke and is now completely paralyzed on the left side of his body; his eye, arm, and leg no longer function. Diana is an operating room nurse specializing in the cardiac team. Her job is important, but not as important as her husband, who needs full-time care. Having cancer and being hemiplegic, Drew struggles to do basic tasks and needs full-time care. Diana has been working tirelessly since his diagnosis to care for him by herself, with the help of family and close family friends.

The money donated will help pay for: medical bills, diapers, vehicle rentals, nurses, bills, food, and other expenses. I, Andrew Jr. (AJ), am creating this fundraiser to help my mom with a lot of the financial burden she is facing. My mother has been on and off not being able to work for months as she is needed to take care of my father. I made it through college, and my younger brother Aidan wants to attend law school. I want him to succeed and thrive and not have to worry about the kind of stress going on when he moves away at the end of his final high school year.
