Support Draven's Eagle Project for Wags & Wiggles

Hello, my name is Draven and I am a Life Scout with Troop 302 in Roanoke, IN. I am currently working towards Eagle rank. I have enjoyed volunteering for animal shelters in Fort Wayne and want to continue to help out dogs in our community. For my Eagle project, I would like to build four elevated dog beds for the Wags & Wiggles Dog Rescue located in Fort Wayne, IN. The size of the beds will fit a medium-sized dog, because most breeds of dogs that have an extended stay with rescues are mostly medium-sized, such as pit bulls.

Wags & Wiggles currently does use elevated beds (pictured below) for their rescues, and they could use some more. I plan to lead a team of scouts to hand make more of these elevated dog beds similar to what Wags & Wiggles uses. After speaking with Wags & Wiggles, the total estimated cost of the supplies for four beds would still be cheaper than purchasing four of the beds in the picture.

Here are the following benefits for elevated dog bed:

-keeps dogs elevated and cooler in summer.

-easy to clean up and reuse at the rescue.

-hypoallergenic for dogs that have skin allergies.

I am reaching out to the community for help with donations that will go towards purchasing the supplies to build the beds. If there are any funds left over, or if I receive more funding, I will look to see if additional beds can be built. Wags & Wiggles said they could use a couple smaller-sized beds as well, so I would like to honor that if we go over. Any overage in donations that cannot cover a dog bed will be awarded as a donation to Wags & Wiggles. As part of my project, I will have receipts documenting spending on materials, which I will share this information with Wags & Wiggles. Thank you for your support!
