Hi everyone—my name is Dr. Tyler Kulp, and in July 2026, I have the opportunity to lead a mission trip to Kenya with the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington. Our team will travel to the Amboseli region to partner with Water is Life Kenya, an organization that has already helped bring clean water to over 110,000 people.

We will be serving the Maasai community of Orarait, where access to basic resources is a daily challenge. Women and children often walk hours through dangerous terrain to collect contaminated water. A new borehole is underway to provide clean water—but right next to it sits an early childhood school in urgent need of repair. The building is unsafe, under-resourced, and limits opportunities for young children at the very start of their education.

As a father of a five-year-old, this mission hits home. I can’t help but imagine if this were my son’s classroom.
