Our father, Dr. Bill Almond, is a retired minister, beloved by many for his decades of service, compassion, and unwavering faith. Today, he needs the support of the community he’s spent his life serving.

In November 2023, Dad was involved in a serious car accident. While he has physically recovered, the accident marked a turning point in his life. He now faces multiple chronic medical conditions that make it impossible for him to live independently. He needs daily assistance with basic activities like mobility, meal preparation, and medication management.

Dr. Almond now lives in an assisted living facility in Catawba County, North Carolina, where he is safe, cared for, and treated with dignity. Unfortunately, the cost of his care, along with his medical and prescription expenses, far exceeds his monthly Social Security income. He has no savings or assets, yet does not qualify for Medicaid. Our family has been covering the shortfall as best we can, but the financial burden has become too great for us to carry alone.
