Hello everyone, my name is Hugo Vela here in El Paso, Texas. As you know, Doug's Saloon was vandalized by arson in an attempt to sabotage our renewed Country club. We are in the process of rebuilding and repairing the damages caused by the intentional fire. As you know, the roof and the new dance floor were damaged. This process will take time and money to repair. We are working with the building insurance coverage, and we are uncertain at this moment how long it will take. Fortunately, the firefighters responded, and it was not a total loss. Nevertheless, the damages are expensive. We are staying strong and confident that we will continue our journey to have one of the best Country Clubs in Texas.
We are asking for donations to help us build our dream and to open this Country Bar soon for the public to enjoy. Anything helps. We are grateful that when this incident happened, no one was at the building, and there were no fatalities.
