Hello, we are the Douglass family. We reside in Barnardsville North Carolina. We have recently been devastated by tropical storm Helene and we are looking to raise money to rebuild our farm.

We bought this place 1.5 years ago and it was our dream property. It’s now unrecognizable. We are hoping to build it back up to its glory, but we will need help to do that. It’s about 15 acres that we will be working to clear of debris and rebuild. Anything helps. This is not only for us, but for our dogs and future children. We are in shock at how vast and devastating this flood was and are trying to wrap our brains around how we can recover from it.

We are currently trying to recover anything we can from the wreckage and our driveway and entry road were absolutely destroyed. This is making it impossible for us to get back to work or gather supplies for ourselves. We are currently dependent on a generator for some power. We have minimal information on who to contact to make us a driveway or road, but are working on making calls to find the right people or company who Can help us figure it out. Our stable was washed out and turned on its side leaning against a boulder. We lost so many important tools and valuable equipment.

We have a long and strenuous journey ahead of us but all of your love and support has encouraged us to move forward.
