As many of you receiving this request may know, Doug recently lost his wife, April, after an accident in their home, multiple surgeries, and lengthy hospital stay. For anyone who knows my brother, Doug, they understand that he is quiet, caring, and has the kindest heart. He would, without hesitation, give the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need, even if he did not have one to spare. They also understand that Doug would never ask anyone for assistance.

Since April's initial bout with Covid several years ago, a myriad of illnesses to each of them have inundated Doug and April's lives, leaving them with an abundance of financial needs, including delayed home repairs, holding off on necessary auto maintenance concerns, and of course, the many medical bills that have accumulated. April's recent hospitalization, along with her pending funeral expenses, will only add to the mountain of bills that will be soon coming due. Bills that only Doug would try to shoulder himself, as if they were merely a molehill. Unfortunately, that is simply not the case.

It is at this time that I ask you to please consider gifting what you can to help support him as he begins to climb out from under this burden and attempts to get back on track, mentally, spiritually, and financially. It will take him some time to accept the passing of April, although it is my sincere hope that he can better grieve her loss minus the despondent thoughts of how to navigate through this immediate financial crisis. Please understand, this hardship Doug is experiencing is not exacerbated by any personal vice that can be commonly pointed to, such as gambling, drinking, drug use, etc., or the result of his poor choices. Rather, life sometimes just seems to chip away at really good people, leaving them in tough situations. Please consider donating, as any amount given will certainly go to help a really good man.
