Late last week on September 25th our beloved friend, Reverend Don, passed away unexpectedly. Don was such a giver throughout his life and during his four decades of communications and service. He was a gifted writer and magazine editor before he was called into ministry. He pastored, planted a number of new churches and outreaches, officiated thousands of weddings, and served these past seven years with Mission Hospice of Rancho Mirage.
Don blessed countless people with his kindness, warmth, and boundless generosity. His presence was a gift which he offered freely and wholeheartedly and always with good humor and humility. Don was an exceptional person who poured out his love in the spirit of abundance and grace in service to others. He did this tirelessly, living his faith in such a beautiful and encouraging way.
Don was present for so many in their hour of need. As he shared his heart and soul with us, let us offer our love and financial support to his cherished wife Carolyn and their family at this crucial time. Don has been the sole earner as Carolyn continues her recovery from recent breast cancer treatment at home.
Together, let's honor Don's legacy of love and service by lifting up Carolyn, Kyle, Alyssa, and Nate as they grieve the loss of their remarkable husband and father, a man who felt like our very own family, and who will be deeply and dearly missed by us all.
Don's Celebration of Life will be held at the Palm Springs Air Museum located at 745 North Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs, CA on Sunday November 9th 2025 at 5 pm. All are warmly welcome to attend, to share stories, eat burgers, and celebrate Don’s life!
