On Monday, September 2nd, the 6-5 wiped out the historical town of Chinese Camp. Many residents lost everything. One of those being Donald Stewart. His home and almost all belongings were reduced to nothing. Donald could not get back to his home in time to get anything out himself.

Donald grew up in Chinese Camp. He has called it home for 50+ years. And before that, his family resided there in some of the original historical buildings. This town is all he’s ever truly known. He built a life here. It’s where he and his wife raised their daughter. A lifetime of memories gone in the blink of an eye. Along with the invaluable items he lost, childhood photos, important documents, etc., Donald also has lost almost every piece of equipment he uses to make a living. Equipment he has acquired over the course of a lifetime. Now without it, he risks his ability to make a living. Any donations will go towards helping Donald purchase the tools and equipment necessary to get back on his feet and start providing for himself and his family again.
