Support Disabled Artist and Her Family
Donation protected
My parents, Joan and Bucky Sexton, lost their house in the Eaton fire.
My mother, a disabled/retired realist artist, and my stepfather, a retired electrician in the movie industry and an upholsterer by trade.
I'm just an HVAC service technician who had no other choice but to move them into my 2-story, 1-bedroom apartment, which in itself has complications for a disabled person. It has stairs.
They have been married for 20+ years.
They have 2 pups. An adopted female Chihuahua/Dalmatian recently diagnosed with cancerous tumors on her hip and abdomen. Another smaller male Chihuahua was adopted as a support animal for the female.
My mother has had multiple neck and back surgeries (spinal fusion) and was diagnosed with scoliosis, so she has been mostly bedridden. My stepfather is her caretaker since she has undergone her multiple life-changing surgeries.
My stepfather originally purchased his first home at just 19 years old in the beautiful city of Altadena near Loma Alta Park. He has worked tirelessly to upgrade the home and make it easier for my mother to be as comfortable as possible.
Your help will allow us to address the many aspects of recovery and support our family through this crisis.

We have received an abundance of condolences, support, kind words, and I am forever grateful for each and every one of you.
