We are heartbroken to share that Deirdre and her son Kody (also known as Dakota in their community) recently experienced a devastating house fire on Mother’s Day that destroyed their home and everything they owned. While we are incredibly grateful that they are both physically safe, they are now facing the overwhelming reality of starting over from nothing.

Deirdre is a devoted and selfless mother. Even in the midst of such a tremendous loss, she remained strong—choosing not to draw attention to her situation during her child’s 6th-grade graduation because she wanted the focus to remain on the kids. That speaks volumes about her character, strength, and love for her child.

Kody is a bright and hardworking student—a straight-A scholar, Cub Scout, and talented young artist with a promising future ahead. Despite this hardship, he continues to show resilience and determination. He deserves stability, support, and the chance to continue thriving, but right now, he needs the basics—clothes, school supplies, and a sense of normalcy.

They cannot do this alone.

We are asking for immediate donations to help them secure essentials and begin the long process of rebuilding their lives. Every single dollar makes a difference right now.
