As some of you have heard, my mom, Diana Newby, had an unfortunate accident that has landed her in the hospital with a very significant injury to her leg. This has put her out of work for the last few weeks. She just recently had a debridement surgery that also caused them to find an infection in her leg. The infection is from a rare water bacteria that was caused by the water she fell into while playing ball with our dog Copper at Martinez Lake in Arizona. She is now in San Diego receiving care with a wound vac and IV antibiotics. She will need another surgery and still has a long road to recovery. Diana will be out of work and is the main source of income at the moment for my parents as my dad is the one taking care of her and changing her IV with the help of home health care.
