Hello everyone,
My name is Dhaeshna Booma. I’m a Life Scout in Troop 2123, based in Fremont, CA, and I’m currently raising funds for my Eagle Scout Project. An Eagle Project is completed by Life Scouts to advance to the Eagle rank while giving back to their community through a service project.
For my project, I’m partnering with Narika, an incredible nonprofit dedicated to promoting women’s independence, economic empowerment, and well-being. Narika supports survivors of domestic violence by providing crucial advocacy, essential resources, transitional housing, and educational opportunities. Together, we can help these courageous women reclaim their lives and build a brighter future.
I will be building raised bed planter boxes and outdoor benches for Narika’s transitional homes, which provide safe housing for survivors and their families. These outdoor additions will create a welcoming and healing space where residents can relax, enjoy nature, and connect with one another. The planter boxes will also allow residents to grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables bringing beauty, comfort, and a sense of home to these important spaces of healing.
Your support will help cover the costs of building materials (wood, hardware, tools), soil, plants, and any other needed supplies. I am aiming to raise $800 to complete this project. Any unused funds will be donated directly to Narika to support their continued work with survivors.
Why this matters:
Your support will not only help me complete my Eagle Project, it will also contribute to Narika’s mission and make a lasting impact on the lives of women and families in our community. Your donation helps provide safe spaces for survivors to heal and connect, supports Narika’s advocacy and empowerment programs, and strengthens our local community’s support network for survivors.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference!
If you’re able, please consider donating and feel free to share this fundraiser with friends and family. Together, we can help uplift and empower women who deserve a second chance and a brighter tomorrow.
Thank you so much for your support!
