Detroit Serves Detroit: Help Us Give Back to the Heart of the City

Detroit is more than a city — it's a community filled with resilience, history, and heart. But too many of our neighbors are struggling to meet their basic needs. At Detroit Serves Detroit, we believe in taking care of ourselves. We are a grassroots organization committed to giving back to our community — one meal, one care package, one act of service at a time.

Our mission is simple: to support and uplift Detroiters, by Detroiters. We’re raising funds to create and distribute hot meals and essential hygiene kits to those in need throughout our neighborhoods. These kits will include items like:

Toothbrushes & toothpaste

Soap & shampoo

Feminine hygiene products

Blankets & socks

Hand sanitizers

And other daily necessities

Whether it's someone experiencing homelessness, a family down on their luck, or an elder living alone, we want to make sure they feel seen, valued, and cared for.

This isn’t charity from the outside. This is Detroit serving Detroit — neighbors showing up for each other with dignity, compassion, and love.
