We’re a team of passionate UNT Social Entrepreneurship students who believe that lasting change begins right here at home. In Denton County, over 40,000 veterans live among us—neighbors, mentors, and heroes who once served our nation with courage. Many now face serious challenges: mental health struggles, housing insecurity, and barriers to employment.
That’s why we’re proud to support the Denton County Veterans Coalition (DCVC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping local veterans and their families thrive. DCVC’s mission is to foster resilience by connecting veterans with vital services—from mental health and housing support to job readiness programs and community resources.
Just $50 can provide one veteran with a month of essential support, including therapy sessions, food assistance, or career workshops. Every dollar you give helps rebuild lives and restore hope. The reality is —41% of veterans struggle with mental health challenges, and 11% face substance use issues—but together, we can change that. Your contribution is more than a donation; it’s a commitment to dignity, gratitude, and community resilience.
When our community comes together, hope grows stronger.
When we invest in our veterans, healing begins.
When we act with compassion, change becomes possible.
Join us in showing Denton County’s veterans that they are not forgotten—that their service matters and their future is bright.
