Hi, I’m Denise — a mom of two, reaching out during a difficult but hopeful time.

After more than ten years as a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, I recently became a single parent overnight. This change was sudden and necessary — I’m leaving an abusive situation in order to create a peaceful, stable home for my children and me.

With support, I’ve been able to find work, and I’m committed to rebuilding our lives. I know we’ll be able to sustain ourselves once we move. But the cost of relocating in New York City — from deposits and first month’s rent to basic moving expenses — is more than I can manage alone right now.

This fundraiser is to help cover the cost of our move so we can start fresh in a safe space. I’m sharing this quietly and asking that it not be posted publicly or on social media, as I want to keep things as private as possible for the well-being of my family.
