As you may know, on October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica and left destruction across the island, mostly in the Hanover/Westmoreland Parishes.

This tragedy has affected many, including my maternal grandfather, who is now without a home.

My name is Demoy Howell, and my family (pictured below with my grandfather) and I in the U.S.A. are looking to help him replace the roof and rebuild his home.

Our goal to get him safely back in his own space is important, and any donations are greatly appreciated.

Here’s an excerpt about him from our mother:

“My dad born 1938 in Jamaica and reside in Hanover for 87 years. He was a Painter and worked every day until he had a Stroke in 2023.

Because of the strokes his balance and speech was affected. A few health issues but now is speech is almost as good has before. My dad is a fun loving person; Always smiling and always helping out when he can. Everyone in his home town of Hanover call him ‘Uncle Sam’, even the little kids.”
