If you've played or frequented shows in Chicago, you know Demetri Wolfe. Demetri is known for being a world class musician, writing and playing guitar in his main project Inoculous, playing bass in our band Snooze, and filling in for many bands across Chicago and the globe - he is also possibly even more well known for being a force of positivity, community, and inspiration for many including myself. Truly a one of a kind human being.
He's an incredibly hard working musician, playing gigs consistently and at a level that I personally aspire to - which is what brings us here today.
On September 6th, Demetri stood up from his seat on the Chicago Brown Line, on his way to a gig, and as he stepped off the train he realized his Pelican Case was gone.
That case contained his in ear monitors, wireless pack, 2 guitar pedals, and unfortunately contained his main tool for all of the gigging that we've been talking about today - his quad cortex. This effects unit enables absurdly portable gigging, with amp modelers, built-in effects, and impulse responses that allows people like Demetri to travel light, and still create tones that can be directly sent to front-of-house, an extremely tough loss for his ability to play gigs effectively without a car, and damages his income as gigging is an important source of income for him.
I'm asking for your help to get him back in gigging shape, for the mobility and modularity that his portable rig provided, and to help out one of my closest loved ones. This money would enable him to keep being the best musician in the room even though he'd never admit it, and enable me to selfishly keep pestering him at gigs.
Please help out in any way you can, I'm sure if you've ever crossed paths with Demetri you know what a light he is and how much he deserves a break.
