Hi! I am Del Howell’s daughter, Cassidy! As many of you know, my dad had to undergo open heart surgery on 10/23/25. In the beginning, we were told it would be a few years before it would need to be done, but it ended up being a lot sooner. We were not expecting this so soon. My dad is a fighter, extremely strong, and has made it through many battles, one of them being a survivor of kidney cancer. Due to this open heart surgery being so sudden, my dad is now out of work and will continue to be out of work until he is fully recovered. He had minor complications after surgery, which have since been resolved, but it delayed his healing process a few days. Heather, his wife, has been back and forth to the hospital to be with my dad every day since surgery. My brother Alan and sister-in-law Angelica were very kind to help with our baby brother Jeffrey for the first couple of days, but now they also need to get back to work as well.

My dad does not like asking his family for help when it comes to finances and doesn’t want to have to depend on other people. But anything at this time would be a help to them. I would hate to see them get behind on house bills or struggle to keep food on the table for my baby brother.
