Support Decca Miller's Recovery and Family Needs

My name is Decca Elise Miller. I am a single mother of two children from Boron, California, in Kern County. I am reaching out for your help, please. I got into a major car accident on March 21, 2025. I was driving my son to his doctor's appointment, and as we were entering the road, a speeding car from the left side hit my car on the driver's side.

I suffered major physical injuries to the left side of my body, including my arm and leg, and had to be airlifted to a hospital where I had to stay for three days. I am currently home, physically disabled, unable to work and still suffering from pain and trauma. Prior to the accident, I was already having financial hardship due to lack of work.

Thankfully, my son is okay. He is shaken badly but only suffered minor injuries, as he was sitting on the passenger side.

I am in need of your help for housing rent payments and basic needs, as I do not have any current source of income. I do not know when my condition will improve, as I still have to go through physical therapy and follow-up doctor appointments. I do not have health insurance, and my car insurance does not have coverage for this purpose.

I have reached out to the Catholic Charities and the Kern County Community Support Services but have not been successful in being able to access assistance.

The doctors at the hospital do not have a timeline as to when I will fully recover, so I am asking for your help, please. Any amount will help. God bless.
