Support Dean's Battle Against Lung Cancer

**Update 5/1/25**

This morning, Dean received a call from Excellus telling him that his claim has been APPROVED! We send a heart felt thank you to all who contributed by contacting our local representatives and news stations to help make this a reality.

**Update 4/27/25**

Dean's healthcare provider, Excellus BlueCross Blueshield, is refusing to cover a life-saving double lung transplant that is essential to his recovery. He needs this surgery immediately. Our goal with this page is to bring better support and awareness to this husband, son, and friend of our community. Please see updates posted on this page for more information and ways to help.

We are raising funds to help our close friend Dean, who just received a diagnosis of Stage 4 lung cancer. Over the next few weeks, Dean will require some additional testing in Boston, and then he will begin treatment. This campaign is to help Dean focus on what matters most-- getting healthy-- and not the expenses that come along with his treatment.

Those of us who know Dean will tell you he and his wife, Mckayla, are two of the kindest people you will ever meet. You might even recognize them from one of the weddings or other events that they have sung and played for in the Greater Syracuse Area!
