Hey — I’m David.

I’ve spent my life seeking new experiences — traveling to 50 countries, meeting thousands of people, and working behind the scenes on movies and TV shows that shaped generations.

But in 2022, I walked away from all of it. Not because I was lost — but because I knew there was something bigger I had been preparing for.

After taking time to reflect, I finally conceived Qu in late 2023, shortly after moving to Buffalo.

Now, as I prepare to launch Qu and our first app, Qu Anytime, I wanted to give back to the city that has become my home — and helped Qu and I grow in ways that wouldn't have been possible elsewhere.

With that in mind, I found a way to use our launch to trigger a wave of growth across Buffalo— helping individuals, businesses, and the city itself realize their potential.

How are we doing this?

There are three key parts to this launch:

The Origin of Qu — Live Launch Event

An immersive, one-night-only storytelling experience that brings the Qu origin story to life through performance, art, and Buffalo's best.

This is more than a party — it’s a living, breathing film designed to hit on all five senses. We’ll be producing a cinematic piece from the event that captures not just the birth of Qu, but the moment a city came together and chose to grow.

A Citywide Growth Campaign

A citywide visibility campaign to make Qu—and the idea that every moment holds the potential to help us grow—impossible to ignore. Through billboards, posters, flyers, social media, interviews, podcasts, and pop-up events, we’re training people to see value in everyday experiences and in one another. It’s about reshaping how we move through the world: with curiosity, openness, and a belief that growth is always within reach.

The Buffalo Qu Quest

A 10-day citywide treasure hunt that turns Buffalo into a playground for growth. This is about helping people see the city with new eyes — and highlighting the incredible local businesses, hidden gems, and experiences that make Buffalo special and help people grow.

This Quest will also serve as the foundation for a feature-length documentary we’re producing — capturing the power of Buffalo to help people grow.
