Hello everyone,
My name is David Martin. I am reaching out on behalf of my family in Kilmarnock, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, who were recently devastated by Storm Melissa. Our parish was hit extremely hard, and the damage has left my family struggling to rebuild their lives.
Due to intense heavy winds and rainfall, we lost all of our livestock: goats, chickens, and other animals that served as our primary source of income and food security. Our farms were severely damaged, destroying crops, fencing, and essential tools we depend on for survival.
To make matters worse, all of our solar equipment was destroyed. Because of our remote location, solar power was our only reliable source of electricity. Without it, my family now faces complete darkness at night.
Our entire livelihood has been impacted, and starting over feels overwhelming.
I am asking kindly for your support in helping my family:
• Replace lost livestock
• Repair structural damage
• Rebuild our solar power system
• Restore basic living conditions
Any amount, big or small, truly makes a difference. Even $1 helps. If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser; that gesture alone is powerful.
We are humbly grateful for your kindness, compassion, and prayers.
As we say, “Each one help one.”
Together, we can give my family a chance to start again and rebuild what was lost.
In all things in life, be kind and supportive.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and caring.
Blessings always.
