Support David and Liz in Adopting Karsyn

Hello! Our names are David and Liz. We have had Karsyn since he was 10 days old. There has been minimal visitation between his mom and dad. His dad has NEVER contacted us and his mom “get him when she wants” to.

Due to some issues that have come up, we are raising money to retain our lawyer. We spoke with our lawyer and were told that we needed $5,000 for the retainer fee, that we had a pretty good case, and that it would be best to do it closer to school age. He is currently in daycare and is now enrolled in K4. The issue now is that she is trying to come around more and dictating when Karsyn’s father should get home.

Please help us with the retainer fee so that we can adopt or gain custody of our “Chay man”! We couldn’t see life without him. He will be 4 years old in July and calls our place home.

By no means do I ever want to keep him from his parents - but we do want to make sure that he cannot be snatched up at anytime. No help has ever been given from the parents and I am not looking to be reimbursed by them by any means. We love this boy with all our hearts and couldn’t live without him!

We set this account up so that everybody knows where the money will be going. Instead of using cashapp, Venmo, or other types of accounts, this, I hope, will give the peace of mind of knowing that the money will not be spent, just anywhere.

I will post receipts too, for extra peace of mind.

UPDATE: We will be scheduling our appointment with our lawyer at the beginning of June. Some things have come up and we have appreciated all of the help thus far!
