Support Dave's Journey to Stability
Donation protected
Folks this is Dave. Dave’s lived in Moab for 20 years working in the service industry. He was most recently a care taker for Kane Creek Campground as well as living down Kane Creek blvd. His living situation and position for the campground were lost with the recent developments along the river on Kane Creek Blvd.
Dave has been living out of his truck the last three years, he’s unable to stand for more than two hours at a time due to osteoporosis in his knees. After a ten month process Dave was allowed general disability assistance for his knees. This term ended 4 months ago. Dave has been working on a more permanent disability claim for over a year now.
In the photo you can see the stacks of paper work he’s been working on for his claim, doing all of this out of his truck and the public library. He’s also having shoulder and neck problems. With an appointment in Price soon, to see a specialist, they will determine what’s going on and provide treatment or strengthen his case to get him the benefits he needs.
Dave is currently feeding himself off of a bridge card allowance of $290 a month, Solutions was helping with his monthly rent on his storage unit. Unfortunately now he’s living off of the Bridge card allowance alone and solicited donations for his storage rent and truck/home needs.
His truck/home is overdue for oil change and he can usually use gas money, food money and coins for the laundromat.
Hopefully Dave’s case is reviewed soon, until then it’s appropriate to see what a Gofundme can do to ease his situation especially with the winter season approaching.
This is set up with myself as the temporary beneficiary, due to Dave’s situation. All money donated will immediately go to Dave alone.
