Hi! We as a family are raising money to support the community as a memorial to our father.

Dave’s Free Wheels and Meals will provide those in need with bicycles and groceries/meals from local retailers.

Through his example, dad fostered in us compassionate hearts and a generous spirit. He was always willing to help someone out. And whether it was getting my mom her a bike at college, or biking with his kids to his favorite fishing hole, he saw the benefit and joy in riding a bicycle.

Bikes can foster community, improve health and are an environmental-friendly and economical mode of transport. They can help vulnerable communities, those unable to afford a car or people in transition (e.g., seeking a job, returned veterans, etc.). They also are fun for both children and adults! Most of us remember the first time our parents taught us how to ride, or when we were gifted our first bike.

We believe that bikes may not change the world but they can help someone in need in an unexpected way. And small changes matter. In these difficult times in our country people are struggling in many ways, including financially.

By providing bikes for vulnerable community members along with money for food we can share in the burden with others, while helping family businesses — doing our part to show Jesus to others. Join us in blessing someone today! For it is better to give than to receive.
