My name is Dave—many know me as “Dave the Viking.”
Over the past year, I’ve made the decision to step away from my normal routine and show up where support is needed most. I’ve been traveling across the country—from D.C. to Minnesota, Nashville, and Los Angeles—working alongside community members, grassroots organizations, and local coalitions to support on-the-ground efforts.
This work looks like:
• Assisting with mutual aid and community support initiatives
• Supporting rapid response efforts during times of crisis
• Helping create a physical presence for protection and de-escalation
• Documenting events to ensure visibility and accountability
I do this because I’ve been asked—by those directly impacted—to show up, to stand with them, and to use my presence in a way that contributes to their safety and visibility.

Where Your Support Goes
Your contributions help cover the basic costs that allow me to continue this work:
• Travel (gas, flights, transportation)
• Lodging while on the ground
• Food and day-to-day living expenses
• Basic gear and supplies needed for safety and documentation
Any additional funds will be directed toward supporting community-led efforts and mutual aid when possible.
⸻
Commitment to Transparency
I believe in accountability. I will be sharing ongoing updates so you can see exactly:
• Where I am
• Who I’m working with
• What kind of work is being done
⸻
How You Can Support
If you’re able to contribute financially, I truly appreciate it—every bit helps sustain this work.
If not, sharing this page or connecting me with organizations and communities in need is just as valuable.
⸻
️ Why This Matters
Not everyone can be physically present in these spaces—but through your support, you’re helping ensure that someone can be.
This isn’t about one person. It’s about showing up for each other in real, tangible ways.
Thank you for being part of that.
