Support Dave and Mariana's family

Mariana and Dave Gaidano recently learned during their 20-week ultrasound that their baby has been diagnosed with Single Ventricle Congenital Heart Disease — a rare and serious condition that requires immediate and ongoing medical intervention.

Their little one will need three open-heart surgeries: one shortly after birth, another at 3–4 months old, and a third between the ages of 3–4 years. To prepare, Mariana will need to relocate to Palo Alto at 37 weeks and deliver under the care of the specialized team at Stanford at 39 weeks.

As you can imagine, this journey will bring emotional and physical challenges — and a significant financial burden. Between time off work, extended hospital stays, relocation costs, and out-of-pocket medical expenses, the road ahead feels overwhelming. Focusing on healing, while worried about unforseen financial burdens, is not an easy task.
