Support Data Duplication Village at Def Con

For over a decade, the Data Duplication Village (DDV) at Def Con Las Vegas has been a vital resource for the information security community. Each year, our all-volunteer team sets up at the conference to provide attendees with free access to hard drives loaded with security conference videos, rainbow tables, research papers, and other valuable resources. While much of this data is available online, downloading 34TB or more can be slow, difficult, or even impossible in some parts of the world. By duplicating hard drives on-site, we make it possible for anyone to quickly and reliably access this important knowledge, regardless of their internet situation.

As DDV continues to grow, so do our operational needs. We rely entirely on the generosity of our volunteers for funding, time, and effort. To keep up with demand and continue offering high-quality, up-to-date data, we need to upgrade our equipment—specifically, by adding new duplicators. These upgrades are essential for us to maintain the speed and reliability that attendees have come to expect. We aim to complete these upgrades in time for our annual event in early August, ensuring that the infosec community can continue to benefit from fast, reliable data sharing at Def Con and beyond.

Your support will help us purchase the equipment we need to keep DDV running smoothly. Every contribution goes directly toward maintaining and improving our ability to serve the community. Thank you for helping us keep knowledge accessible to all.
