Hi, my name is Dasun, and I’m asking the community of people that hate cancer as much as we do to come together for a good cause.

My name, Dasun means (Knowledge/Wisdom of the Sun), I’m just 6 years old—the youngest of eight siblings—and it is truth, I am a gift from God.

I am kind, loving, and a very joyful soul. I light up every room with a smile and a wave. God made sure He gave me the gift of a big heart. I love making new friends, praying, singing, dancing and attending Renovate Church in Lakewood, CA, where I share my light and love for God with everyone I meet. I truly am the peacemaker and the sunshine of our family. ☀️

Recently, my whole world was turned upside down when I was told my brain had a tumor in it. I was diagnosed with defused midline glioma, an aggressive and incurable brain tumor. This news has devastated our family, yet through it all, I continue to be the light God created me to be. I keep praying, singing, and showing a strength beyond this world. Only God’s mercy and love could be this powerful.

Our Family Needs have changed a lot.

i underwent several treatment surgeries and treatments to help my quality of life. I will need ongoing care at home. We are preparing for:

• A wheelchair-accessible vehicle for appointments and outings

• ️ Medical equipment and supplies for home care and hospice support

• A safe, comfortable space to support my recovery

This journey has brought emotional and financial challenges we could have never imagined. Yet, we remain faithful, trusting that God will move through the love and generosity of our community, friends, and extended family in Christ.
