Support Darryl Hurst after e-battery fire destroys his home

Hi - my name is Alice, and my heart was broken this morning watching the news.

Darryl Hurst, a pensioner from South Townsville, lost his home and almost his life when a charging electric scooter in his garage caught fire. Darryl has lived in his precious home for 37 years, and without insurance, he has lost everything.

The pain and fear in his eyes came through the TV, his heart broken, and his home and all its precious treasures, gone.

I am appealing today for your kindness and generosity. Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in helping Darryl start over. Let’s show him that his community cares and stands with him in this incredibly difficult time.
