Support Darlene Kirk's Transition After Loss

My name is Athina and I am the youngest of Tom's 3 kids. I am making this gofundme to help my mom, Darlene, out in a time of need. She put her vet tech degree on hold years ago to care for my grandma, my great aunt, and for the last 5 years she has been the caregiver for my dad, her ex-husband but best friend, Tom Kirk. My dad had a brain stem stroke 5 years ago and we had high hopes he would recover. He never regained his ability to walk and steadily for the last 5 years he battled with his health issues until he was finally called home. He put up a tough fight, and I believe we were given 5 whole extra years with my dad. But this is for mom. My mom, Darlene Kirk, is the most selfless woman I know, she would do anything to help her family and that is what she has done. Since dad passed away, yesterday May 27th, 2025, mom will no longer be my dad's paid caregiver. She will have a transitional phase, of going back into the work field to keep her home. We don't know what the future will bring, but when I say anything about it she already knows God will provide. I have no doubt that my mom will be fine. I just know a lot of people have asked if there's anything they can do and realistically the money issue is a pretty big burden right now. Mom is a very strong woman and she will be fine and she always has trouble asking for help, so I am for her. Even if all you give is a prayer or a kind word that is more than appreciated. Thanks
