A few weeks ago, my son Darius was involved in a devastating high-speed accident on his way home from work. After clipping an 18-wheeler, his car tumbled and he was ejected through the front windshield, suffering traumatic injuries. Darius was rushed to the ICU, where he remained unconscious for several weeks with serious damage to his back, neck, and brain. During this time, our family faced the uncertainty of his recovery while medical bills and other expenses continued to pile up.

After a long and difficult fight, Darius regained consciousness and began the challenging process of rehabilitation. He was transferred to a facility in Atlanta to help him regain the strength and mobility needed to return to work and daily life. However, the financial burden has only grown, with mounting hospital bills, insurance costs, his phone bill, and the loss of his transportation adding to the stress.
