Support Darian's Fight for Custody and Stability

Hi there and thank you so much for taking the time to look into our cause. I am Darian Ballance and I am a mother to four beautiful children, Aubrey, Mason, Alaiya and Avril. I have full custody of my three older children. In January 2024 I received a petition through our family courts for sudden change in custody/ modification.

For the last year, I have been able to independently retain two separate lawyers and continue to maintain the fees. However, due to the ongoing litigations and the necessary refusal to back down on giving up my full custody, I plan on continuing to fight in order for my children to remain with me in my care and safety. Under the circumstances, I would normally be too prideful to ask for help, but unfortunately, I have liquidated all my assets into trying to fight for my children. If anyone knows me and my story and how our little family came to be, we have been on a really long and difficult path to stay safe and whole as a family. The way that things are going it looks like we might have to go to trial and we received a notice that it would cost $45,000 in order to pay for the retainer. If I am able to raise this money it would help alleviate the financial struggle it would put on me going into debt and help our family focus on our every day bills with ease. We are very fortunate and glad to have found our attorney in regards to his dedication and knowledge in order to handle the extreme complexities of this case. I am fully confident he is exactly what we’ve been needing to bring to light of our on going circumstances and issues and give us the justice our family deserves. With him representing us, our family’s truth and what we have faced it will be good to know the court will have a fair understanding of our position. We are unfortunately on a time crunch and we need to try and raise as much of the money before June 17. We now come and ask our family, friends, community and others who could sympathize and or anyone that knows the hardships in fighting for custody or in our case to maintain and stay with their children when someone else is making the choices for your family. How grueling it is to go through the many hours to years of constant financial stress and what seems like never ending chaos, amongst the other tragic things some may be aware of that we have been through. How important this fight is to us in order keep our children safe and have them remain in the only home they’ve known.
