After my knee surgery, I set everything up to make sure I could get by while I recovered. I never fully returned to work, only managing about 20 hours a week so I could continue healing and not risk losing my benefits. Despite my efforts, I recently received a notification that my insurance, SNAP benefits, and all other support are being taken away. The reason given was that I made too much money, but the reality is I have no income coming in at all. I’m medically uncleared to work, and my appeal is still pending.
All the funds from my previous GoFundMe have been exhausted, and I’m starting over so there’s no confusion. Right now, I’m facing a mountain of medical bills, and I have no way to pay for physical therapy, doctor appointments, or even basic living expenses like food and bills. I can’t drive, so transportation to my appointments is another challenge. There are also family and household issues that make it impossible to get help elsewhere, and I’m truly in a tight and terrifying place.
I hate to ask, but I need to reach out to my wonderful group of friends and supporters once again. If you can share my story or help in any way, it would mean the world to me. Your support has gotten me this far, and I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done. Thank you for being there for me during this difficult time.
