My name is Danielle Leonard and I currently reside and work as an art teacher in Los Angeles, CA.

This June, I will be going to Hebron, Palestine for 2 weeks to volunteer with refugees from Gaza with an organization called The Excellence Center. I am lucky to have summers off from work, and I am trying to make the most out of my free time. This is a cause which is very important to me - seeing the pain and suffering Palestinians have endured led to me to researching ways that I could help provide direct aid to refugees who have been forced to escape the place they called home. I will be staying with a host family, which will provide me with 2 meals a day. In my off time, I will be taking both Arabic lessons and Palestinian cooking classes.
