My name is Daniella Henao, and I am honored to be participating in the Phi Beta Sigma Scholarship Pageant—an experience that reflects the fraternity’s core values of brotherhood, leadership, service, and academic excellence. I am a first-generation college student from Miami, Florida, currently a first-year junior at Florida State University majoring in Criminology. My long-term goal is to pursue a career in law, where I can advocate for underrepresented communities, amplify marginalized voices, and work toward a more just and equitable legal system. I am deeply passionate about leadership, mentorship, and community service, and as someone who comes from a family of immigrants, education represents resilience, sacrifice, and the opportunity to create lasting change beyond myself.
Participating in this scholarship pageant allows me to challenge myself, grow in confidence, and continue embodying Sigma Phi Beta’s commitment to purposeful leadership and service. Funds raised will help cover pageant-related expenses, professional preparation, and academic costs, directly supporting my educational journey as I work toward my future in the legal field. Every contribution—no matter the size—is an investment in my education, my goals, and the impact I hope to make in my community and beyond.
Thank you for believing in my journey and for supporting me as I take this important step forward.
