Hello. I am writing this for one of my closest friends. She is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. If I ever forgot lunch at work, she always showed up with something for me. So here goes nothing.

My closest friend Dani and her boyfriend have recently been dealing with the loss of their home. Their home has recently gone up for auction and purchased with no chance of recovery. Here's the back story.

Dani’s father passed away and he left her his home, which was fully paid off. She and her boyfriend moved in with little to start with besides themselves, their rescue dogs, and some family. They got behind on some bills and they were both without a job and a working car. Her sister moved in and was helping with bills, which was great! After her sister's divorce and move out, they were working any and every chance they could to keep things afloat. Dani got a full-time job and was carpooling to be there. They saved enough for the back property taxes of two thousand and unfortunately life happened again and the money was severely needed elsewhere.

They have both been working as much as they can to catch up. They both now have working cars; however, that was not enough. The county decided to put their home up for auction and it was purchased by an unknown buyer. They had 48 hours to pack up everything, including their dogs, and find somewhere else to live.

Dani works at an animal clinic and was able to board the dogs and store items in friends' and family's garages. They are now staying in a Motel 6 even farther from her work. Now it is a place to sleep, but it is no home, and after a while, that bill will also add up.

I asked her personally if I could make this and she told me it was okay. She also told me loving on her dogs at work would be enough, and I said I wanted to do more. If we had more room at our house, I would have no issues letting them stay here till they saved up to purchase a house of their own, as that was their ultimate goal to begin with.

I am writing this and posting this in hopes it finds someone who is able to help. Even if it is just $5 or $1, any little bit helps. Anything donated will go towards their current hotel stay and towards finding and purchasing a home for themselves. I know there are several out there who need help in this crazy economy, but I cannot sit back and watch this happen. Please, if you can donate, it is very much appreciated!
