After over a decade in the U.S., my time here is coming to an end. I arrived as a wide-eyed immigrant with two suitcases and a heart full of ambition — and this country gave me a chance to build a life beyond what I had imagined.

As I prepare to leave, I find myself reflecting not just on what I’ve gained, but on what I can give back. And for me, there’s no more meaningful cause than this.

Cancer has quietly affected people I love — and Dana-Farber has been at the forefront of giving patients hope, dignity, and time. This fundraiser is my small way of saying thank you to a country that gave me so much, and of supporting the people still fighting battles far greater than mine.
