Hello family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to read about our story. On December 2nd, my wife and I took our youngest daughter Adelaide to Boston Children's Hospital after a number of concerning symptoms started to present themselves. Through several tests, it was discovered that she had a tumor on her brain. She was immediately taken into surgery where the amazing staff at BCH were able to successfully remove 100% of the visible tumor. Adelaide remained at BCH recovering from her brain surgery for the following week and has made amazing strides in her recovery from the surgery itself. Since then, we have learned more about the type of tumor that had been growing in her brain. She had a rare choroid plexus tumor which was located in the posterior fossa, a small section of the skull which includes the cerebellum, brainstem, and other vital structures within the brain. Due to its location and size, following the successful resection of the tumor, it was suggested that she undergo a lumbar puncture to determine whether the cancer cells had spread into her spinal cord. We have been very fortunate throughout this journey in that her surgery was successful, her recovery has been going well and that the lumbar puncture came back clear of cancer cells. We are beyond grateful that Adelaide will not require further treatment in the form of chemotherapy or radiation and will instead be able to move forward relying on imaging via MRI every 3 months. Upon discharge from the ICU at Boston Children's Hospital, Adelaide has been very closely observed by several teams that are monitoring her progress following her brain surgery recovery. In addition, she is being seen by the oncology team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where they will continue to keep an eye on her brain, as her type of tumor has a higher recurrence rate.

Our family will never have the words to express the gratitude that we feel for both Boston Children's Hospital and Dana-Farber and the pivotal role that they played in fixing and saving our daughter. This year, I will be participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge. The PMC's mission is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to Dana-Farber. I will be riding the 161 mile route from Wellesley to Provincetown in honor of Adealide's journey and would be forever grateful for any contribution made towards my goal to Dana-Farber.

My name's Julian, and I will be running in the New Bedford Half Marathon. I am running the race to help raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I personally have an aunt who is a cancer survivor and I would like to try my best to help out anyone else who may have breast cancer. Hello. November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, and I am looking to be able to raise money for Dana Farber Cancer Institute in order to fund the clinical trials needed to beat this disease.

In 2019 my mother was diagnosed and subsequently passed from stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Since we knew there was nothing we could do at this point, my mother opted into Dana Farber experimental treatment. Dana Farber allowed my mother to have the most comfortable and quality rest of her life, and my family and I will be forever grateful.

This year around 66,440 people will be diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in the U.S alone, 51,750 of them will die because of it. Pancreatic is the 2nd most deadly cancer second to Brain due to its location, difficulty of surgery, and ease of spread.

Together we can help fund new treatment, maybe one that can save thousands. For their future, for my future, for her memory.

Hello everyone,

My name is Adam, and I'm a 46-year-old from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Many of you know me, but for those who don't, I have always strived to make a small difference in my community. Today, I am reaching out to ask for your help in raising money for cancer research, with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

For the past 3.5 years, I have been growing my hair with the plan of donating it to cancer survivors who need it more than I do. My hair is now about 16 inches long (as shown in the video), and it’s all coming off on July 24th to support those in need. My hair will be donated to Wigs For Kids, as they do not charge anything for the recipients of their wigs.

Why This Cause Matters to Me

Cancer has touched all our lives in one way or another. I have lost friends, family, and too many acquaintances to this indiscriminate disease. But I also have friends, family, and acquaintances who are still with us, still fighting thanks to the progress made over the years. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been instrumental in this battle against cancer. So please think about donating to this cause.

Hi this is the go fund me account for Fundraising for Cancer Research Club at Sturgis Charter School in Massachusetts. With donations we hope to insure research funding for The Dana Farber Cancer Institute and hopefully give victims of cancer another chance to live. Many have suffered either with cancer themselves or seeing a person they love suffer from it. Our mission is to ensure more research funding for cures for cancer.

Many of us have had the unfortunate experience of cancer rearing its ugliness in our lives. Hello! I am an eighth-grade student at the Pentucket Regional Middle School in West Newbury, MA. We are doing a project called the "Civics Action Project". The topic I chose was raising awareness for cancer. As part of my action, I am making a fundraiser for the research and cure cost of all types. My Dad was diagnosed with Non-Hodgehkins Lymphoma on December 30, 2018. The type he has is non curable. He is such a tough guy, but watching him go through what he did was heart breaking. Every penny of this fundraiser will be donated directly to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) for the study of Non-Hodgekins and other cancers. Any donation for this fundraiser will be very gratefully appreciated and needed. Thank you! :)
