This past Friday, March 20th, our sweet friends Dana & Dave lost their home in an unexpected house fire. On what was supposed to be a beautiful Friday quickly became an absolute nightmare as faulty wiring from a built-in microwave led to an electrical fire in the kitchen.

Dana & Dave were not home at the time of the fire and thankfully all 3 beautiful fur babies (June, Beatrice, and Quincy) were rescued from the home safely.

While Dana and Dave are beyond relieved that everyone is okay, their home and all of their belongings are not.

A fire is obviously an extremely scary event, but it’s also a traumatic loss and having to move out of a home and attempt to salvage your belongings is brutal.

As Dana’s BFF of over 20+ years, I encouraged this GoFundMe to help them get back on their feet while they look for not only a new home but go through the process of getting all of their basic needs that were lost in the fire.

I know if you know D & D, you love them, that’s easy to do. But asking for help is not, and I know they appreciate any little bit that we as a community can offer.
