Dan Fontes, my partner of 28 years, is facing a long road to recovery after a serious health crisis. He developed an abscess in his lower left lung and spent 11 days in the hospital. While we are grateful he is now home, his recovery is slow and challenging. Dan has very little energy, needs to sleep most of the day, and even talking takes a lot of effort. He will need to continue antibiotics for another month, and his strength is limited.

During this time, Dan needs someone with him most of the time to help with basic care tasks, household chores, and shopping. I am doing everything I can as his partner to support him, but I know I will need some breaks to stay healthy myself. The funds raised will go toward any extra assistance Dan may need that is not covered by insurance for at least the next two months. This support will help us manage the day-to-day challenges and give me the chance to rest and recharge so I can continue caring for him.
