Introducing our informal-formal baby announcement! Except this is a little different from a typical announcement - Dalton and I are in the works of adopting a dear family member who has been with us for 5 months now, which is more than half his life at this point. Normally we would add a photo of the three of us together, but due to my line of work, I am set and intent on maintaining as much privacy for our sweet boy as possible.

Unfortunately, the adoption process is exorbitantly expensive (understandably so) and would stretch us well beyond our means, especially with Dalton being back in school and paying out of pocket for it. The Wisconsin courts are expecting us to work with an adoption agency before allowing the termination of bio parents' rights and the subsequent adoption to go through. Between the costs associated with our adoption agency and the costs of having to travel to and from Wisconsin for several weeks (plus not being able to work for the time we're in Wisconsin), we're realizing that, as much as we don't want to need help, we really do need to ask this of our friends and family.

And so here we are - humbly and gratefully reaching out for all potential help that can possibly come our way. I know times are tough and life is expensive, but if you have the means to help us legally secure our boy in our care, it would mean the ABSOLUTE WORLD to Dalton and me both.
