With a heavy heart, I’m writing on behalf of my dear friends, Amy and Dale, who are facing the unimaginable loss of their beautiful baby boy, Zac.
Zac was born on the 10th of September, with the biggest blue eyes and the softest white hair. For 11 days, he was cherished by his mum, dad, and siblings - surrounded by love.
On the 21st of September, his short but perfect life came to an end. Though his time here was heartbreakingly brief, his impact is endless, and he will forever be remembered.
As one of Amy’s best friends, I really wanted to find a way to support them during this incredibly difficult time. With Dale’s blessing, I’ve set up this GoFundMe so that friends, family, and community can come together to ease some of the immediate pressures.
Your support will allow Dale to be fully present with Amy and the kids, without the weight of needing to return to work straight away.
Funds raised will go directly to supporting the family in the weeks ahead - helping with meals, household needs, and extra support with the children and house - so that Amy and Dale can focus on one another and their kids.
For those local to the Maleny area who would like to help in practical ways (meals, household support, caring for the children, etc.), please feel free to reach out to me directly via Facebook (Sarah Kolak) or WhatsApp (+66644130406).
I am helping coordinate a group so that local support can be organised as it’s needed.
In honour of Zac’s short but beautiful life, our hope is simply to surround his family with the same love and care that they poured into him. Amy and Dale feel deeply grateful for the outpouring of kindness already shown, and they are comforted knowing so many people want to help.
There is no obligation. Your love, prayers, and kindness are already felt so deeply. This page is simply here for those who have asked, “How can we help?”
If you feel moved, please also share this page with others who may want to support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Sarah
