Support a Dad's Visit with His Kids in Providence
Donation protected
Hello,
The Providence trip was amazing! Due to an uncontrollable COVID situation with my kids' mother's side of the family I had to extend my trip until Saturday. I'm going to leave this campaign up for a bit because it didn't meet its goal and the rest of that goal can help recoup out-of-pocket expenses for the 3 extra days.
Here's the original text of the campaign.
I am a father of three wonderful kids that live in Europe with their mother; I reside in Chicago. However, they are on a US summer holiday with their mother’s family and I have a small window of opportunity to see them on the East Coast of the US. Originally this GoFundMe was to bring my kids to Chicago (unaccompanied) but I had to pivot as I had not raised enough funds to buy their tickets within a reasonable time to make it affordable. I am now using this campaign to see my kids in Providence, where they will be the last week of their US holiday visiting their cousins. They return to Europe the end of next week but I’m able to see them for 3 days next week.
The kids are getting older and I'm missing special moments, so this GFM campaign is to squeeze in a visit and make great memories with them. I won't see them again until probably Christmas. I do what I can to make it to France to see them 2-3 times a year.
This visit will also happen during my oldest son’s birthday. Because of the pandemic, distance and their summer holiday scheduling, it’s been 3 years since I was able to physically spend time with him on his birthday. So, it’s an extra big deal.
The funds will go towards airfare, AirBnB for one adult and three kids, activities, shows and special meals. It will also help with lost income from time away. You're welcome to reach out to me with any other questions.
Thank you!
Thank you, thank you!
