Support Cynthia’s Family to Keep Their Home

Hi everyone,

This has been a really hard decision to make, and I honestly struggled to find the right words. A friend helped me write out my story in a way I couldn’t on my own.

Cynthia has spent her life serving others. To her coworkers, she is a loyal teammate; to her friends, she is kind and compassionate; and to her family, she is their rock.

But behind her brave smile, Cynthia has been silently carrying an unimaginable weight.

Her mother’s serious illness forced her to stop working and left Cynthia as the main support for her family. Then, tragedy struck again when her little sister was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Recently, her sister nearly lost her life to a diabetic episode and had to be rushed to hospital. Through it all, Cynthia has been the one holding everyone together—working, caring for her family, and doing everything in her power to make ends meet.

Now, Cynthia and her family are facing a crisis. After falling behind on rent during these struggles, they have been served with an eviction notice. The home they have lived in for over 15 years—the only place they have to feel safe—is about to be taken away.

This is not just about losing four walls and a roof. This is about losing the only stable environment where her family can heal and recover.

When I asked Cynthia to write me a little paragraph to put in this GoFundMe page, these are her words:

“My family is going through a really difficult time right now. My mom’s ongoing health issues and my sister’s recent Type 1 diabetes diagnosis have made it hard to keep up with bills, and my family is about to lose their home.

I’ve tried a lot of options to avoid this point, but I’m reaching out as a last hope. I know times are tough for many, and asking for help isn’t easy. If you’re able to donate, or even just share this, it would mean the world to my family and me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate it more than you ever know.”

Even $1 from each person who can help would make a big difference in helping Cynthia and her family keep their home.

If you are unable to help because times are tough and you’re just keeping your own head above water, we completely understand and deeply respect that. But we do ask one small thing of you that is completely free: please share and like this post so it spreads as far as possible. If we can reach enough people, just $1 each can save this family from losing their home.

Please, help Cynthia and her family in any way you can—whether through a donation or by sharing her story. Together, we can make a life-changing difference.

With gratitude,
Brandon Lyon
